An amazing night for the Brahms nation at the SBS Drama Awards 2020. Do You Like Brahms? team won a total of 4 awards last night, including Best Couple Award — truly well deserved and I heard it is all due to the hard work of the fans working with the Find Me In Your Memory’s couple fans for the voting.
Congratulations to Park Eun Bin and Kim Min Jae.
First off we have Kim Min Jae’s short but special stage performance where he played Träumerei, channelling into his role again as Park Joon Young.
Then as if knowing we’ve waiting long enough after that super looooong commercial breaks, SBS presented the Best Couple award to Kim Min Jae and Park Eun Bin.
It definitely brings back fond memories during the watch. I was smiling from ear to ear even when SBS was showing the nominees’ clips, having only paid attention to it when Do You Like Brahms?’s was on. Although due to COVID-19 restriction, they have to stay far apart but it was already a treat that they at least appeared on stage together; we see Min Jae flashing his dimpled smiles upon seeing Eun Bin coming out from her end of the stage — it’s almost like a replay of the scene where Joon Young broke into a wide smile when he saw Song Ah waiting for him outside of the building in the drama. Unlike MBC or KBS where the stars had to cover up their face, I got to see everyone’s face clearly and them receiving these honours of their hard works. No complaint.
Then it was more happy time where Min Jae was awarded Excellence Award in a mini-series in a fantasy or romance category. He was up against nominees such as Kwak Si Yang (Alice), his co-star from Tempted, Woo Do Hwan (The King Eternal Monarch) and veteran actor Lee Jung Jin (The King Eternal Monarch).
Park Eun Bin on the other hand was awarded with Top Excellence Award in a mini-series in a fantasy or romance category. Although TV ratings and popularity of the dramas played a big part, her excellent performances in both Hot Stove League and Do You Like Brahms? are definitely the main reason she beat out her tough competitors like Kim Go Eun (The King Eternal Monarch) and Kim Hee Sun (Alice).
Eun Bin also acts as a special MC with co-star Jo Byung Gyu (currently on The Uncanny Counter) for the SBS Drama Award where they presented the nominees for the Grand Prize (Daesang). She was sooooooo adorable when she reminiscence a line said by Joon Young to Song Ah. Hahaha~ this girl never forgets to promote her ship.
