My Drama Land is experiencing a bit of drought again. Most biases have completed their projects, and some are leaving for military services, whereas a couple of them are just taking their sweet honey time reviewing script offers. Meanwhile a few are busy with fan meetings. Damn those fan meet tours. And the good shows are coming to an end one week after another. Aish. Not happy. Not happy at all.
Oh my god, how exciting. We finally have something from Kim Soo Hyun‘s new movie, Real. It felt like eternity just waiting as they kept it so secretive. Not that I don’t love secretive. The less spoilers the better I say because I don’t know what to expect, and when one don’t have expectation, it will yield better result.
Kim Soo Hyun looks so badass in the teaser. I didn’t expect to see him kicking so much ass so it’s a surprise. It didn’t seem like it’s the same as the sypnosis anymore, but you know what, I don’t care… just air it now and we’ll be the judge of it.
Dear lord, so much Feels from just watching this MV, and listening to IU singing the chorus with such a torn-up and sad tone. The emotions shot through the roof, and I felt rather somber now, but loving the song anyway. Her singing appears like a silent cry through the music and lyrics. A sincerely heart-breaking song, so considered yourself warned. I definitely did not expect it to be a song about breaking up. When news was out that she and Kim Soo Hyun would collaborate again after Dream High and The Producers, I thought it would be a cute-meet-date-happily-ever-after story based on the teaser MV.
Oopfh. I had heard about Kim Soo Hyun featuring in one of IU‘s music videos, but wow, I did not expect my heart would flutter at the sight of it. I lubbbb it. IU looks so pretty and Kim Soo Hyun is awakening the dormant fangirl heart who fell for his Do Min Joon character from You Who Came From the Star. Most importantly, it looks to me it’s the kind of MVs I like—ones that tell a story, and obviously these two play a couple.
Can’t wait to see the full video, which will officially release on April 21.
UPDATE: 2016.08.15 Added new teaser & stills
Moon Lover Scarlet Heart: Ryeo releases its first official teaser preview and group character poster today, just as Moonlight Drawn by Clouds release its third teaser. So the battle begins hey?—Narratively speaking for the storyline of the drama as well as between broadcasting stations.
Hmm. Would have been nice if they release an all cast character poster to go along with these individual ones too. Then I wouldn’t have to use such pathethic one as feature image. Anywhos, we have brand new character posters released for upcoming sageuk drama, Moon Lover: Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. They really should just stick to one name and be done with it, sigh.
Oh shit. How am I going to juggle between real life and drama life from now on for the next 5-6 months?
My schedule is super jam packed with the following dramas:
UPDATE: Added 5 mins preview of the drama
Ladies and gentleman, look what we have here? First poster released for all the main characters of Scarlet: Ryeo (or Bu Bu Jing Xin). Everything is falling into its place nicely now. As previously introduced here, here and here, the drama is helmed by IU, Lee Jun Ki, Kang Ha Neul, Nam Joo Hyuk, Ji Soo and many more.
NOTE: I’ll be sticking the teaser trailer into this post if they release it next without any new stills.
The casts of Scarlet Heart: Ryeo starring has kick-started on the drama shooting. Here we have first peek into the stills release on our three main casts — IU, Lee Jun Ki and Kang Ha Neul. IU looks beautiful in Goryeo wear, aww.
The drama will be 100% pre-produced, so there will be longer wait, but hopefully this also signify better quality in terms of direction, cinematography and most importantly, script-writing.
