Hmm. Would have been nice if they release an all cast character poster to go along with these individual ones too. Then I wouldn’t have to use such pathethic one as feature image. Anywhos, we have brand new character posters released for upcoming sageuk drama, Moon Lover: Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. They really should just stick to one name and be done with it, sigh.

The casts of Scarlet Heart: Ryeo starring has kick-started on the drama shooting. Here we have first peek into the stills release on our three main casts — IU, Lee Jun Ki and Kang Ha Neul. IU looks beautiful in Goryeo wear, aww.

The drama will be 100% pre-produced, so there will be longer wait, but hopefully this also signify better quality in terms of direction, cinematography and most importantly, script-writing.

Drama Review: Answer Me 1988

On the back (from left): Yoo Jae Myung, Kim Sung Kyun, Kim Sun Young, Lee Il Hwa, Ra Mi Ran, Song Dong Il & Choi Moo Sung. Middle row (from left): Park Bo Gum, Ryu Jun Yeol, Hyeri, Go Kyung Pyo, Kim Seol & Lee Dong Hwi. Front (from left): Ahn Jae Hong, Ryu Hye Young & Choi Sung Won.

Answer Me 1988 is the third installment of the Answer Me franchise produced by tvN, and to my surprise, turns out to be the best written. I still remember cringing at the thought of 80’s fashion, and how ugly they were, or how I would have allergies seeing it. Little did I know it brings back so much nostalgia from that era, and the simplicity of life back then became the ultimate winner for the storyline.

Everyone contributed to this drama with their best, and left the viewers with loving and lasting impression. It is hard to say goodbye, and I sort of wish this show would go on a little while longer, because there are still so many stories the writer can tell us about them. The journey of Answer Me 1988 characters has not ended because we have reached the finale episode, for them, it was the beginning of a new chapter. I wonder, if it’s possible, tvN ever considers a spin-off or even just a Special episode for Answer Me 1988?

Scarlet Heart: Ryeo Secures All its Casts

20160105093502_568b0fb63fade_1

Can someone please tell me this isn’t true? Today’s news is full of explosive bombs—bombing people with drama casting news left, right and centre. Well, what’s done has been done, I do look a little forward to it actually. On to the first news which is concerning upcoming drama, Moon Lovers, a remake of the famous Chinese period drama, Scarlet Heart (also known as Bu Bu Jing Xin).

All the actors who were rumoured to have been approached are now confirmed and locked in, including main leads Lee Jun Ki and IU. I just want to throw rocks at the production company, because I’m pretty sure the casts were all confirmed loooong ago, when the first rumour came out. They were probably testing the waters, and wanted to know the nation’s reactions to the casting. Hmph.

Ji Soo and Kim Sung Kyun Confirmed for Moon Lovers, the Remake of Bu Bu Jing Xin

Startling_by_Each_Step

Shaking head — I really wish the Drama Gods can put a stop to the Korean entertainment industry remaking other countries’ hit dramas. There would not be an objection had the Koreans not screwed up remaking famous hit dramas such as Nodame Cantabile (Japan) and In Time With You (Taiwan). Thus, I really fear for another big screw up of remaking hit C-drama, Scarlet Heart (more famously known as Bu Bu Jing Xin).

First Peek! Youth Over Flowers in Iceland

12391042_910094275735887_5714558992107532488_n

Not so long ago, the infamous and notorius Na PD (Na Young Suk) sent three actors — Jung Sang Hoon (37), Jo Jung Suk (35) and Jung Woo (35) to the Iceland to film tvN’s real life variety show—Youth Over Flowers. Little did we know that immediately after attending the award ceremony, Kang Ha Neul (25) also took off (note: without any luggages and still in his suit) to join the boys!

And here we have today, the official poster of the boys freezing to death in Iceland, with the caption “It’s so cold, might as well stay at home.” Ha. Seriously, even if Na PD gives me USD 1 million dollar, I would probably NOT want to embark on this journey. Imma not Princess Elsa. Continue reading “First Peek! Youth Over Flowers in Iceland”
