My Drama Land is experiencing a bit of drought again. Most biases have completed their projects, and some are leaving for military services, whereas a couple of them are just taking their sweet honey time reviewing script offers. Meanwhile a few are busy with fan meetings. Damn those fan meet tours. And the good shows are coming to an end one week after another. Aish. Not happy. Not happy at all.
Snap! Here are our 53th Baeksang Art Award winners.
Frankly, it was the most boring Baeksang I had seen. I get bored from time to time watching these award shows because of the language barrier; however, this year’s Baeksang was boredom on a whole new level. It began at the red carpet where not one single star *wow* the floor. The dresses were all a big MEH.
I was contemplating of quitting the live streaming if it were not of Park Bo Gum with his little *BLUR* but cute stunt, and later the three crabs moves. After this, the show did get a little bit more interesting since it was time to announce the Best Actor and Actress awards.
The vicious cycle starts again with 53th Baeksang Art Awards as they recently release the nomination lists. Almost every year I go on a rampage at the results for South Korea’s Award Shows, but I can’t ignore because I am a sucker for seeing stars dressing up prettily on the red carpet. I love seeing biases or drama couples I adore reunite and appear together for their nominated projects. This year’s Baeksang is as highly anticipated as 2014’s when I was infatuated with You Who Came From the Star.
Let’s take a look at the nominees for this year. I have chosen my winners in light blue, hehe.
Last night I was adamant I won’t waste my time blogging on 52nd Baeksang Awards, but now that I saw these pretty pictures in HD, especially of the actors I admire, I succumb. I won’t be sharing the list of the winners, because that will only give me high blood pressure again. Instead, I am taking this as an excuse for all the busy Ssangmundong kids and parents to find time for a small reunion. And I am sure those who is truly interested knows where to find the list e.g. Google.
Without further ado, let us all go behind the scenes of these glamorous stars’ wardrobes for the night.
Seondal: The Man who sells the River tells the tale of two swindlers during the Joseon period. To be the famous swindler that is well-known to the nation, you would expect them to be gutsy and maybe possess a handsome / attractive appearance. That spells out our hero swindler Kim In Hong (also known as Kim Seon Dal). His partner in crime is mainly Bo Won, but they also have help from Yoon, a female buddisht. Together they tried to sell the river, and the catch is, they don’t even own the river. LOLLLL.
What? When did the boy film another Joseon movie? Oh never mind. I got that answer from AsianWiki. Basically Yoo Seung Ho did Joseon Magician first, then immediately work on this. Wicked, hot potato, this boy.
Funny how Park Bo Gum keeps appearing in variety shows without invitations and had no intentions whatsoever to appear on it, LOL. It just so happens that all these Noonas adore him (or Taekie) that they all want a piece of him. Pwahahahaha~
Following his super short appearance in Running Man, summoned by Song Ji Hyo to complete her mission, this time round, model actress Hong Jin Kyung requested her co-hostess of the new variety show Unnie’s Slam Dunk—Future Dreams, Ra Min Ran, to call Bo Gum and ask if they could visit him inside KBS building where he was to film Music Bank.
