tvN and Let’s Fight Ghost are getting ready to kick start their drama starring Kim So Hyun, Taecyeon, Kwon Yool, Kang Ki Young, David Lee and Kim Sang Ho. So far the tone of the show is light and fun, which is different to So Hyun’s usual drama choices, as most of her dramas are a lot more serious. It’ll be a nice and refreshing change on her front, and we will get to see if she also has a talent in comedy, and being funny without over-acting.

Let’s Fight Ghost (싸우자 귀신아) is falling into its place quicker than I thought. Drama stills of Kim So Hyun (School 2015: Who Are You) and Tacyeon (Assembly) are out, as well as a short teaser.

It’d be a lie if I say I am not a least bit interested to check it out. I am, most definitely, for Kim So Hyun’s sake. Another reason would be, it is tvN, which have been pumping out one after another good quality dramas.

52nd Baeksang Arts Awards

Last night I was adamant I won’t waste my time blogging on 52nd Baeksang Awards, but now that I saw these pretty pictures in HD, especially of the actors I admire, I succumb. I won’t be sharing the list of the winners, because that will only give me high blood pressure again. Instead, I am taking this as an excuse for all the busy Ssangmundong kids and parents to find time for a small reunion. And I am sure those who is truly interested knows where to find the list e.g. Google.

Without further ado, let us all go behind the scenes of these glamorous stars’ wardrobes for the night.

Drama Review: Page Turner

Page Turner, describes a person who sits on the side of a pianist, and assists in turning the pages of the piano sheets. We get swept away by the performances of the pianist, and never notice the importance of a page turner, or even acknowledge the importance of its existence. Thus in the context of this drama, I believe the page turner refers to the people around our 3 main leads—the parents or friends etc.

If you enjoy listening to classical music, and happens to love Kim So HyunJi Soo or new rising actor, Shin Jae Ha, then this inspirational show is not to be missed. Continue reading “Drama Review: Page Turner”

Drama Review: Nightmare High

Recently I have began watching a drama named Nightmare High. It is a mystery thriller taking place at a high school. It isn’t aired on any major TV broadcast stations or cable, but goes by the form of web drama on Naver. The main casts are Kim So Hyun (Page Turner, School 2015: Who Are You), Uhm Ki Joon (Masked Prosecutor) and BTOB’s Lee Min Hyuk.

Kim So Hyun is the sole reason for taking up this drama. Seeing how it has released 7 episodes already, and each episode is only about 18-20 minutes, I figure why not, whilst waiting for Page Turner to air. Moreover, it would not and should not be as bad as Moorim School judging by the name of the drama.

Moonlight Drawn by Clouds Courts BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae

LAST & LATEST UPDATE: Yook Sung Jae has turned down the offer.
UPDATE: I wanna kill the Korean media for this. First they report Yook Sung Jae confirms, now they report his agency, CUBE Entertainment, denies saying it is still in discussion.

Breaking news! Woah, this is unexpected. BTOB’s idol singer/actor, Yook Sung Jae (School 2015: Who Are You) has been casted to play Kim Yoo Sung, the second male lead of KBS upcoming sageuk drama—Moonlight Drawn by Clouds (Working title).

The character of Kim Yoo Sung is said to be charismatic, knowledgeable and multi-talented. He will fall in love with the heroine, Hong Ra On, and become entangled in a love triangle with Crown Prince Hyomyeong, potrayed by Park Bo Gum (Answer Me 1988), who is the first confirmed cast for the drama.
