So what are my biases up to these days??? Let’s take a look.
End of July to August is a pretty meh times. Took me forever to complete this. Several times I wanted to trash it, but didn’t want the effort to go to waste. I’m watching these dramas, but find it really hard to get into them. Some episodes I could be totally into it, and the next week, I’m out. None of them are really crack drama material, but I’m soldiering on till next month and hope I’ll find a crack by then.
My Drama Land is experiencing a bit of drought again. Most biases have completed their projects, and some are leaving for military services, whereas a couple of them are just taking their sweet honey time reviewing script offers. Meanwhile a few are busy with fan meetings. Damn those fan meet tours. And the good shows are coming to an end one week after another. Aish. Not happy. Not happy at all.
These are Yamashita Tomohisa‘s old pictures, but since they look so good and nicely scanned (and nicely Photoshopped), I thought I’ll post it for some drool time, and rant about his latest ended drama, From 5 to 9. I initially plan to write a drama review after it ends; however, I lost my mojo for a proper post. Thus, I’m just going to spill it all out in this one.
A few of these images are from a magazine named WWD Japan, and the others, I have no idea; I just happened to chance upon it on the social media network. So. Let’s talk about From 5 to 9 (also known as 5-ji kara 9-ji made) since I’m not exactly proficient swooning at images with descriptive words.
As previously posted, I started watching Kara 9-ji Made: Watashi ni Koi Shita Obōsan (also known as From 5 to 9) and was enjoying it for the first 3 episodes. But I can’t quite grasp the reason behind the vast popularity though. True that it has its comedic moments; the male and female leads (and supporting characters) are beautiful to look at, but I didn’t think it was so special that many would be hooked. I see people falling in love or re-falling in love with Yamashita Tomohisa, as well as Ishihara Satomi.
It’s reaaaaaally been a very long time since I get excited each week for a new episode of a Japanese drama. Which drama is it if you might ask? — it is none other than 5-ji Kara 9-ji Made: Watashi ni Koi Shita Obōsan (also known as From 5 to 9) starring Yamashita Tomohisa (Operation Love, Code Blue, Kurosagi) and Ishihara Satomi (Rich Man Poor Woman). The drama is further supported by ikemen such as Furukawa Yuki (Mischievious Kiss: Love in Tokyo) and Hayami Mokomichi (Absolute Boyfriend). There is also an extremely adorable little boy actor named Terada Kokoro. The visual is already attractive enough, don’t y’all think? Hehehe.
